They run transfers to and from the airport from 4am until 1 am.  This costs £3 per person per journey and the time can be sorted out when you check in.

The guest rooms are all en suite and they have TVs and the bits and bobs you need to make a cup of tea or coffee.  Business rooms are available.  Cots can be put into the bedrooms for babies.  If you need to make a good impression, just ask and they’ll give you a hairdryer or an iron and board.  There are 12 rooms in total, a mixture of double, family and single rooms.

There are accessible bedrooms, but these are the only parts of the building that have been made accessible to wheelchair users.

From the motorway, exit at Junction 8, then take the turn for the B1256, signposted for Takeley.  The Stansted Airport Lodge is 1.6 miles along this road on the left.

I have been at Stansted Airport Lodge for two days and my experience was very negative. The owner was very rude a few times. There was no heating in the room and when I asked him to put it on (the temperature at night reached 2 degrees), he said that the heating was set on a computer and he couldn’t change it. Like I’m gonna believe he doesnt have any control over his own computer… Absolutely ridiculous!!! I stayed at the building on the left hand-side and the owner told me Internet wasn’t available there. The staff from the shuttle service were so rude as well. On the first day, they kept us waiting 20 mins in the rain and on the last day they complaint about us being 2 mins late!!!! Disgraceful… I travel from Stansted Airport very early in the morning, but I’ll never book that b&b again. The value for money isn’t good at all…(plus I don’t wanna freeze in those rooms with no heating again!!!). P.s. No surprise, after my stay I found quite a few negative reviews on it.
